Tiger Woods & Jack Nicklaus
Autographed Golf Ball Set
$12.5K US
Tiger Woods signs a lot of things, but he generally refuses to sign any golf ball which makes any that do happen to get autographed even more valuable.
Most sports autograph collectors know this fact to be very true. However, as we have implied, he does on occasion autograph a golf ball while most are for friends or VIP dignitaries at events and end up stored in personal collections and rarely see the sports memorabilia market.
Since 1997 we've only seen nine Woods autographed balls and most of those went straight back into someone's collection vault as soon as everyone got a good look at it.
The autographed ball above is extremely desirable due to the Nike 2 ball and the clear clean signature. In fact, it's one of the best we've ever seen anywhere.
Plus, how wonderful is it to have another ball autographed by the Golden Bear, Jack Nicklaus right alongside the Woods ball? High quality autographs of the two greatest golfers in history forever captured together on a beautiful set of golf balls. A golf collector's dream come true.
Like almost any top sports athlete there are items that break records. Tiger's golf ball record is most likely the one with which he shot his first ever professional hole-in-one at the 1996 Greater Milwaukee Open. That golf ball sold for $186,000, an amount that is simply astounding.
A golf ball that Woods signed at the 1997 Masters went for $64,124 at auction and the last Woods autographed Nike 2 ball we saw sold in 2021 for more than $9500.
Tiger signed golf balls are very few in number and all but impossible to acquire and with the Jack Nicklaus ball this is an investment with solid growth potential.
